Stella Chen studied at Julliard School of Music (Itzhak Perlman’s Class) before obtaining a Masters in Violin Performance from the New England Conservatory in 2006. At the same conservatory, Stella is currently completing her PhD in “Musical Arts” under the supervision of Donald Weilerstein and Sylvia Rosenberg. The young violinist is a regular at competitions, and has already won the 4th prize in the 2008 Menuhin competition and the first prize in the L.A. Philharmonic Bronislaw Kaper Awards, among others.
